Although Cehia is known for Skoda, a small exotic cars
producer has used a Renaultsport motor for a interesting creation: Praga
R1. Here are images and details with this sports car from the est of
Europe.
Her name R1 Prague, Czech racing car design is quite sophisticated, designed both aerodynamic (noticeable details are taken from Formula 1) but also to have a pleasant, not effective.
Monocoque structure it is being made from carbon fiber, so that the total mass of Prague R1 stands at just 590 kg, while the overall gauge is very compact (4.17 m long, 1.80 meters wide and 1 meter height).
Engine does not come from Skoda, as we would expect from a well known manufacturer fellow countryman with car brand owned by Volkswagen Group. Speaking of cars the circuit, specialists in Prague Cars have adapted Renaultsport R1 motor home.
Namely aspirated 2.0-liter engine that is also found on the little hot hatch Renault Clio 3 RS, yet whose power has been increased slightly to 210 CP/7.500 rpm. This means a report w / impressive power, 2.8 kg / hp.
The price for Praga R1 race machine is much higher than that of a Renault Clio RS, starting from around 98,000 euros. But also the sensations are at a different level... :)
